"Mothers are not performing."
I have actually heard this sentence 'live'. And on the occasion of #internationalwomensday on 8 March 2022, I would like to refute this stereotype with an example.
I have experienced my colleague, a mother of two young children, who was sent to home office from one day to the next during the first lockdown. Home kindergarten, home schooling - completely unprepared, she mastered everything from one day to the next. And she didn't move a single project deadline, delivered all tasks on time and to her usual quality, and on top was still helpful, friendly and in a good mood. If that's not a performance, then I don't know what it is?
